I’m K.M. Messina, science teacher, dog mom, and the creative mind behind Lunalore Books. Here, you'll find a special collection of my children’s and teen books, alongside handcrafted items that reflect my love for storytelling, creativity, and all things magical. You may also find some dog-themed items, too, because really what's more magical than those furry little angels?
About Me
As an independent author, my journey began at age eleven when I wrote my first book--a knockoff Nancy Drew mystery story written in pencil on lined paper with crooked staples down the side. My writing has come a long way since then (thankfully!) and now I enjoy crafting enchanting stories that transport young readers into magical realms where moon fairies deliver happiness sprinkles, glowing gems harbor mystical powers, and young witches fight to save the letters of Halloween.
When I’m not cuddly dogs, teaching science, or penning my next tale, you may find me indulging in another passion: creating altered journals. These handcrafted journals are infused with a touch of magic and whimsy, perfect for capturing your thoughts, dreams, and creative ideas. Each journal is a unique work of art, made with love and attention to detail.
